Week #24: Strawberries, planting and replanting

Aaron was MIA this week for work, so Marianne was all by herself.  Luckily there wasn't too much to do, though watering was high priority since we have had a lack of rainfall recently.

Strawberry picking took priority as well this week and almost every day there was a pick.

Crops that have sprung us recently include of course all of our squash, onions, some beets, and beans.  Unfortunately, our sweet corn never came up and we had to replant the whole crop.

It seems like every year we loose the tops of our green and yellow bean plants from what we believe to be cutworm.  So we had to replant some beans as well.

"CHOMP"

Not all insects in the yard are bad of course.  Monarch Butterfly caterpillars are now seen on our milkweed.

Aaron was home by late Friday night and it was time to transplant the rest of our tomatoes and peppers.  The beef tomatoes and cherry tomatoes were brought outside and strung up and clipped.  Our hot peppers went into clay pots on benches.
