WEEK #14: Cleaning up

Another week that included snow flurries for us here in the deep south. Winter does not want to let go!

We did get outside on Saturday and tidied up the yard which included cleaning up the grape vines we pulled out over a week ago and putting them in our brush pile. The wind was also calm enough to clean out the chicken coop. In another month and a half we should have this year's chickens in there.  Hopefully they won't need a heat bulb.

It's a shitty job, but somebody has to do it

Our rhubarb has finally come up, though you can barely tell.  By the end of next week we are supposed to get some milder temperatures into the mid teens, so hopefully the rhubarb, our asparagus, and even our daffodils that aren't even close to blooming will finally make a showing.

The red, yellow, and green  fungus looking things are, believe it our not, rhubarb.  Marianne's Mom probably makes the best rhubarb pie this side of the Maple Grove!
