We had this week off to go up to a 60th wedding anniversary for friends of the Reid clan up in Muskoka. While up there we stayed at the cottage and took day trips to the Torrance Barrens, Hardy Lake Provincial Park, Killbear Provincial Park, and Algonquin Provincial Park.
Fall colours were at peak in Muskoka but within a day they were almost all blown off the trees due to the wind. In Algonquin there were already past peak.
We have done many trails in Algonquin now, and this time we hiked the Centennial Ridges Trail at 10 kilometres, and the Beaver Pond Trail which is 2 kilometres.
The Centennial Ridges Trail is by far our favourite trail now in the whole park. At 10 kilometres it is a little strenuous, but there are multiple amazing lookouts. Here are some photos from this highly recommended trail
