Week #31: Honey!

After working in the yard Saturday morning, we decided to take a look at the health of our bee hives as we were getting worried that Aaron's hive was collapsing.  We were surprised and happy to see that not only did his hive look good but he had 6 full frames of honey!

How sweet it is!  Photo by Marianne Balkwill

We took the frames of honey into the house to be processed. We simply cut the comb out of half of the frames and placed it into containers, while the remaining we broke apart and filtered it over a cheese cloth to get liquid honey.
