Week #21: The Big Plant of 2018

After all the rain last week, we finally got a break to plant seeds in moist, but not muddy soil.  First though was another round of rototilling which went really well.  In the four main gardens we planted the following:

Garden #1:
Acorn Squash
Pie Pumpkin
Butternut Squash
Yellow and Green Zucchini

Garden #2:
Red and Yellow Onions

Garden #3:
Roma Tomato Plants (Marianne's Dad came over with plants this week)
Sweet Corn

Garden #4:
Green and Yellow Beans
4 Types of Shell Beans
Edamame (edible soya bean)
Peanuts
Carrots
Beets

In the green house in clay pots we planted pickling cucumber seeds.

Our radishes are ready to be picked.  We find the French Breakfast variety are the tastiest.  They are a longer red and white radish relatively mild with a bit of heat and easy to chew.
