Fruit Trees Spring 2016

This spring we drove around the Leamington area to look for some fruit trees.  After doing some research we decided to purchase apple and pear trees as they seem to be the easiest to grow, along with 2 cherry trees as well. After discovering which trees pollinate well with each other, we decided on the following:

Pear: Bosc, Bartlett, Anjou (all 2 year old trees)

Apple: Royal Gala (3rd year), Empire (2nd year), Mutsu (1 year old graft), Honerycrisp (2nd year)

Cherry: Stella (2) which is a genetic dwarf tree (2nd year?)

We are still after a Golden Russet and perhaps some kind of stone fruit, but we will have to wait until next spring.
