Week #50 to #52: End of 2018

Well another year is almost over and this one had its fair share of both successes and struggles. To make things easier in 2019, Santa Claus dropped off a new tractor with a mower, blade, and rototiller.

This has been a very mild December!  Boxing Day was up to 8 C and Aaron tried out the new tractor and mowed all the long grass on the property and rototilled the gardens!  Our bees have been out stretching their wings as well on both Boxing Day, and on December 28th when it got up to 13 C.

Long grass mowed at the west end of the property

Rototilling the former tomato patch.

Not much going on here for the winter.  We will probably can some soup, finally shell our dry beans, and begin to deplete our cold store making room for the harvest of 2019.

Happy New Year!
